Now, with 8 days to go, I need to farm up 7200 stygia to get a socket on the OFF CHANCE it will work after I re-craft my legendary in 9.1. I didn't have any stygia or soul ash banked because they said it was going to be all good in 9.1 to get ash. It's really unfortunate they decided to give like under 2 weeks of lead time on this. It honestly blows my mind that this system is turning out as bad as it will. It won't work but at least it'll show something. It baffles me that Blizzard hasn't allowed soul ash refunds yet. This is possibly the most easily solved problem in the history of Modern WoW. Hopefully that isn't some oversight that gets hotfixed.
#9.1 legendary crafting Patch
We tested using Spatial Realignment Apparatus in Patch 9.1 on a Rank 4 Legendary and this does work *Indicates that you will not be able to recraft this Legendary in the new best slot until after 9.1 launches which is when the additional slot becomes available. These are the Legendaries that our Class Writers have suggested to recraft for Patch 9.1 and what slot to craft them in!
Torghast will offer 50% bonus Soul Ash when Patch 9.1 launches, allow you to re-run Torghast Layers multiple times in a week for 20% Soul Ash, and you'll be able to transfer Soul Ash across your characters with Packaged Soul Ash.Įdit (6/24): In the Patch 9.1 Notes, Blizzard announced that newly crafted Helms, Necks, Bracers, Belts, and Rings Legendaries will automatically be crafted with a socket in Patch 9.1! If you are looking to recraft Legendaries and don't have enough Soul Ash, don't worry too much. However, this system likely may only exist in Patch 9.1 so if you do craft a new Legendary, make sure to keep your old one in case it becomes useful in the future. For example, Twins of the Sun Priestess for Priests is getting a third option of a Neck in 9.1 as both Head and Shoulders have gear with Domination Sockets. It does seem that Blizzard is aware of this, as Legendaries that can currently only be crafted in slots taken up by Domination Sockets will be receiving an additional slot when Patch 9.1 launches. Since you can't put a Domination socket on a Legendary, this means that you'll want to recraft any Legendary that overlaps with a Domination Socket slot, unless you don't wish to interact with the Shards of Domination system.
